Four weeks modul of 'trends and identity' Meet Me at the Market: The task was to create a small series of a product and personal identity. At the end of the modul the product had to be marketable. The goal was to find a shop where the product could be placed.
Further learning goals were price calculation, concept, packaging, realising a small product series, production planning and product presentation at the point of sale.
This is a series of six bag systems. Upcycled folklore fabrics combined with fake and real leather. The folklore fabrics are meant to be used as tablecloths. I found them in second hand stores and gave them a new purpose. Through Europe you can find those kinds of fabrics in many cultures. It's almost impossible see a difference from Russia to Spain. I was really inspired, because most people carry so many cultures within themselves. Through having avareness about being such a mixed culture, my work symbolises acceptance and tolerance. Heritage unites.

Packaging: Every bag has a name made out of three numbers for example 1-2-6. The first number stands for the first series, the second number for the specific item and the third number for the amount of bag systems made in the series. Every bag system has its own price tag where the number is shown. The price tag is accompanied by a illustration, which explains how to wear it. To store the bag system, a cotton bag with red cords is provided.
